Microsoft has launched Lumia 550, a $139 smartphone that runs over Windows 10. Microsoft is making it available today. It’s the cheapest Windows 10 phone available right now, providing Windows fans on a budget with access to the latest operating system and apps. Sales of the new Microsoft Lumia 550, which offers the best of Microsoft to people who value affordability and uncompromising quality, begin today in Europe. Other regions around the globe will follow in the coming weeks.
Microsoft Lumia 550 delivers an outstanding experience with the key Windows 10 apps including Cortana, Maps, Groove Music, Movies and Photos as well as productivity tools like the latest Outlook mail and Office apps built-in. With secured cloud storage on OneDrive you are also able to store and sync your information and documents across Windows 10 devices.
The Lumia 550 also includes Glance Screen that makes sure you never miss out on what is important by displaying time, date, notifications, and calendar entries without having to unlock or activate your phone. To make sure you can get access to your documents online, the Lumia 550 connects using 4G LTE reaching download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and uploads of up to 50 Mbps. However, it doesn’t pack the most powerful of specifications.
