Google I/O 2015 Dates Revealed

Google I/O is two days of inspirational talks, hands-on learning, and a chance to hear more about Google’s latest developer products.

Google’s annual I/O conference is always a big draw for the next wave of Android happenings. Sundar Pichai, a Senior Vice President at Google announced the I/O 2015 event on his twitter timeline:

Google on their I/O Site invited for the event and asked to Join google to learn about product and platform innovations, starting with a live kickoff from our Senior Vice-President of Products, Sundar Pichai.

First details for Google I/0 2015:

• The conference itself will run from May 28-29. As always, it’ll take place at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco.
• Registration for tickets will open on March 17th at 9:00 a.m. PDT and run for two days. There’s no rush to get in early, though, because…
• Google will pick the people who will “receive the opportunity to buy one ticket” at random.

Google has not yet confirmed the ticket price; last year’s ticket was $900. We believe that this year It’ll be like $1200.

Keeping in mind Google I/O is an annual software developer-focused conference held by Google in San Francisco, California. Google I/O features highly technical, in-depth sessions focused on building web, mobile, and enterprise applications with Google and open web technologies such as Android, Chrome, Chrome OS, Google APIs, Google Web Toolkit, App Engine, and more. Google I/O was started in 2008. The “I” and “O” stand for Input/Output, and “Innovation in the Open”. The format of the event is like that of the Google Developer Day.

Last year, we got hard info on Android Wear’s launch, first details on Android TV, and new details on Project Tango (the 3D-mapping tablet) and Project Ara (the modular smartphone). Who knows if this year will live up to that mad stack of announcements, but at least we know when to pay attention: the conference will be held on 28-29 May in San Francisco. So if you’re a big Android fan – or more essentially, a developer, since it’s technically a dev. conference – be sure to clear your calendar.
